Welcome back. Let’s talk about high school students and high school graduates looking for a career with financial security. Remember jobs in the cosmetology industry are forecasted to grow in 2012 by between 14% and 22%.
Did you know that right now – for many reasons – professionals trained in Cosmetology are in high demand? Cosmetology careers have risen to celebrity status thanks to pop culture. Looking good is everyone’s dream. Movie stars and fashion models dictate the latest styles, and the anti-aging phenom has pumped up the demand for qualified skin care specialists. Most Americans – men and women – are looking for high-quality pampering when they go for a hairstyle and facial.
Graduating from beauty college will prepare you to step into a career with a high demand for trained professionals and you will be ready for immediate employment.
As a current high school student, the first step you might take is to make an appointment with your guidance counselor or advisor to discuss your plans. At AAC we work closely with high school guidance counselors to provide them with current information about our school. Also, when you’re ready, we will arrange for you to come to the school for a visit. Just give us a call at 904.213.1444 to set up your appointment. Feel free to bring your parents so that they can feel positive about where you will be continuing your education.
If you have already graduated from high school and are not attending college, you probably don’t have an advisor – give us a call at 904.213.1444 or complete the form on our Contact Us page and we’ll touch base with you to arrange a tour. At that time we’ll be happy to answer any questions you may have. You will also be able to meet with our financial aid officer to explore scholarships, grants and student loans available for your education.
However you get here, come prepared with a list of questions you want answered so that you can make an informed decision about your future.
Two important questions to ask as you explore a career in beauty are – “How much will it cost?” and “How do I pay for it?” . Whether you want to cut hair or be able to offer a variety of salon services, paying for your education is an important part of your planning. There are a variety of options and our financial aid counselor will help you find the one(s) that are right for you. You can also review Financial Aid information on our website.
